Product description

PlaneWave CDK400 – 0.43-Meter Observatory Telescope System

A precision-engineered observatory solution for advanced astrophotography and research.

The PlaneWave CDK400 is a high-performance observatory system that pairs the powerful CDK17 optical tube with the robust L-500 Direct Drive Mount. Designed for professional astrophotographers and astronomy researchers, this system delivers research-grade imaging across a wide field with exceptional ease of use and long-term reliability.

Inheriting design principles from the PW-1000 1-meter observatory platform, the CDK400 features PlaneWave’s revolutionary Corrected Dall-Kirkham optics combined with their state-of-the-art L-Series direct drive technology, redefining the standard for compact research observatories.
