PlaneWave Solid Aluminum Light Shroud – Dust & Stray Light Mitigation

Engineered for enhanced optical performance and durability, the PlaneWave Solid Aluminum Light Shroud provides superior protection against stray light and airborne debris. Designed to integrate seamlessly with larger CDK and RC telescopes, this rigid light shroud delivers improved internal baffling for observatory-class setups.

- Constructed from precision-machined aluminum for maximum rigidity and durability
- Offers greater dust and light suppression compared to flexible fabric shrouds
- Installs between the mid-ring and front-ring on CDK14 through CDK24 and equivalent RC models
- Fits cleanly within the upper truss structure (carbon fiber truss tubes remain visible externally)
- Ideal for permanent observatory installations or environments requiring high stray light control

Installation Note:
Factory installation is required. The upper truss assembly must be partially disassembled (including removal of the front ring and secondary mirror) to fit this shroud. This process is best performed by PlaneWave technicians at our facility.
