Astro Haven 12.5' (3.81m) Dome

Astro Haven Enterprises (AHE) 12.5-foot category domes spanthe performance spectrum; from the bulletproof simplicity of our belt driven systems to high performance domes with independent shutters and rotation at 30 degrees per second. The Dash 1 (12.5-1) improves our venerable 12-foot model with even better weather sealing around the pivots and the Vacuum Infusion manufacturing process that was introduced with the 18-foot model. The belt-driven Dash2 has servo controllers taken from the so called "X" models. "X" domes have servo-driven shutters each driven by a pair of linear actuators that allow each shutter to be controlled independently. "XR" domes add rotation to the "X" models. Put an "X' model on our optics trailer and you can reposition anywhere.

The AHE 12.5-foot model will accommodate a wide range of optical equipment up to
20* in diameter or a number of observers. It can be ordered with an access door in the
base or may be mounted on a structure and accessed from below. Optional riser rings may be ordered for additional height and there are a number of other options available such as a backup manual crank.

The dome ships in eight pieces that are easily assembled in an afternoon. Installation is trivial requiring a few bolts through bottom flange shown in the footprint. The dome weighs about 1190 lb. and ships on a skid that weighs about 670 lb. The skid is 180"x 90"x101" (I,w,h) and may be ordered meeting ISPM 15 for international destinations.

Note on options for sale: If you want to add additional rings for height, you may do so by adding them on. Just select the option to add a ring, and pick how many you want. The 4-ring kit includes a door for easy access to the inside when the shutters are closed.
